Contemporary Art by West Australian Artist, Lindy Hall.
‘capturing memories, experiences and emotions’
Lindy is a Perth born contemporary artist who has been painting for more than 25 years, undertaking tuition at Claremont Art School and Tresillian Community Art Centre. Her work is a visual exploration of abstracting thoughts, emotions and memories, seeking to capture the intangible essence of the human psyche.
Lindy's creative process is deeply personal, rooted in introspection and reflection. With a background in medical Social Work, Lindy draws inspiration from the human narrative from which she strives to distil the essence of these intangible elements into visual expressions that transcend language and cultural barriers. By embracing ambiguity and fluidity in her compositions, she invites the viewer to project their own interpretation and experiences onto the canvas, fostering a sense of shared emotional resonance. In this way, her art becomes a mirror, inviting the viewer to engage in a dialogue with their own inner world.
Lindy's work has been widely exhibited in numerous community exhibitions and she has won several prizes including the ‘People’s Choice Award’ at the S.C.G.H Art Exhibition in 2011. Recent exhibitions include Tresillian Arts Centre (May 2024), Palette Café Gallery (August 2024), Artist in Residence at European Concepts Interior Design Centre (October 2024) and St Hilda's OSA Art Exhibition (October 2024).
Her works are held in private collections across Australia including Perth, Canberra, South Australia, Melbourne and Brazil.
